Sparco Prime racing suit – FIA 8856-2018 & SFI 3.2A/5 The Sparco Prime racing suit is homologated to FIA 8856-2018 and certified SFI 3.2A/5, developed to deliver top-level performance. The new Prime has been specially developed for racers and is Sparco’s premium 2-layer fireproof racing suit. The suit is made from one of the thinnest and most breathable material constructions Sparco has produced to date. A key innovation is the lining featuring the patented HOCOTEX technology. The Sparco-patented HOCOTEX fabric is the result of more than three years of research and development. Thanks to a special internal honeycomb structure, multiple material layers are integrated into a single construction. This gives the suit an excellent combination of breathability, low weight and effective fire protection for the driver. The Prime features strategically placed super-stretch panels, specially developed by Sparco to provide maximum freedom of movement behind the wheel. The suit also includes an ultra-light zip, an ultra-light cover flap, seamless finishing at the wrists and ankles, and extra-flat seams for optimal weight saving. The collar was also designed based on Sparco’s experience with Formula 1 teams. The Prime’s epaulettes are executed in Sparco’s characteristic L-shaped design, a recognisable brand element since 1977. This design meets the latest regulatory requirements for lifting a driver out of a race car in an emergency. The shoulder pull handles are subject to specific tensile tests according to ISO 13935-2 and comply with a minimum pull force of 375 N per shoulder. Women’s fit available on request.
