Simpson female-specific Hybrid ProLite Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraints on the market that provide protection in frontal, offset and side impacts. Designed to allow easy exit from the car without the risk of snagging on other equipment, the device sits on the back/shoulders rather than over the chest or clavicle like older HANS-type units. They also deliver maximum comfort and agility. An evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, the new Hybrid Sport device improves design and technology to give the driver an enhanced product within the same price range as the previous model. The Hybrid Sport is lighter, with 20% less weight for the large size, including hardware; the DuPont carbon/polymer construction is streamlined, modern and attractive with defined wings for better harness control. The sliding tethers and multi-tether system improve lateral range of motion and field of view. The Hybrid Sport is both SFI 38.1 and FIA certified. These M61 anchors replace the original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick-release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release option. HANS - Post Anchor: These tethers allow the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets that already have standard HANS anchors fitted (or with the correct approval to fit anchors afterwards). Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher. The Hybrid Sport is supplied and prepared to fit existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick-release tethers/anchors. These M61 anchors replace the original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick-release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release option. M61 - Quick Release: These tethers enable the driver to quickly release the Hybrid device by pulling on the cord attached to the helmet. Approved for helmets FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher. Ideal for rallies where the helmet may be taken off and put on more frequently (for example between stages). Weight: approximately 956 gram complete. FIA 8858-2010 approved.
